Dami Alabi a.k.a d4C zionboi B.sc Industrial Physics – Electronics & IT applications, Msc Marketing, OYO
state, Nigeria.
Whilst he had a very limited background in music, he could quickly emulate a piece
a of music mainly from watching and listening to music. Dami’s passionate relationship with
music was ignited with the conga drums and this highlighted a clear God given gift that was
placed in him. With a state of the art bespoke built drum kit that was made up of; his dad’s
yellow tambourine (hi-hat), his mum’s washing buckets (toms), his sister’s book storage door
(snare), some household slippers (kick-pedal) and the elegant guava tree serving him as his
drum sticks.
As his gift continued to be refined, Dami was given the responsibility of being the band
leader in Primary School at the tender age of 4 years old. As the years progressed he later
joined the Royal Ambassadors, a local church marching band, Dami played every acoustic
instrument made available to him. Whilst studying for his Bsc at Covenant University he
served with the University Choir and played at various chapel services, school events and
even played solo at numerous events, during his time at the University this allowed him the
opportunity to mature as a musician and to grow spiritually. “I sincerely know it is not easy to
combine music with school, work and all but I actually think it is doable”
During his career as a professional drummer, Dami has had the pleasure of working with a
number of artists, to name a few; Gabriel Eziashi (Nigeria), Dj Acube Praiseworldradio
