Breaking Growth Barriers by Godman Akinlabi is from Exponential 2017 from The Elevation Church.
Ephesians 4: 11-12 “And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ”
Africa and indeed Nigeria is in the middle of a massive revival. In the early 1900s there were fewer than 9 million Christians on the entire African continent. Today there are more than 541 million and it has been estimated by statisticians that by 2025 there will be 633 million Christians in Africa. The need therefore, to consistently invest in developing capacity for more effective leadership has never been greater. Churches that will succeed must be able to deal with the challenges this growth will bring which include anticipating and meeting the needs of millennials, bridging leadership competency gaps, church planting and growth, establishing thriving pastoral care systems, succession planning as well as staying socially relevant in a constantly changing environment.
This burgeoning need is the passion behind EXPONENTIAL- a 3-day conference holding from Monday to Wednesday 6th to 8th February 2017. At EXPONENTIAL, church leaders will be able to refresh, refuel and retool themselves for greater impact in their respective ministries. Designed to empower leaders of varied experience and at different levels of ministry, it will include both general and break out sessions that address issues of church growth, finance and administration, developing strong value-driven cultures, communications and new media, evangelism, worship and other integral aspects of church leadership. http://elevationng.org/
